Job Overview Architectural leadership role responsible for the design and construction of the transformation of a major transit facility in New York City. The position oversees all project efforts to ensure efficient, cost‑effective execution, and serves as the primary liaison with clients to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.Responsibilities Full responsibility for managing all aspects of mega projects.Prepare strategic plans for project success.Coordinate all project efforts—both administrative and technical—to assure the most efficient and cost‑effective execution.Serve as primary liaison with clients, HNTB, and the project team to bring projects to completion on schedule, within budget, and with maximum client satisfaction.Provide oversight and monitoring of work performed by less experienced project managers.Actively manage client budgets, schedules, program information, communication, and documentation.Estimate fees, determine scope of work, and prepare proposals and contracts for large‑scale projects.Coordinate work efforts and review work performed, ensuring quality management and adherence to project requirements.Act as a champion for the team, responsible for hiring, termination, promotion, discipline, performance review, work allocation, training, and mentoring of staff.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.15 years of relevant experience in architectural practice.Experience in all phases of projects.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Leadership and organizational skills.Collaborative work ethic.Experience managing and coordinating designs in complex multi‑disciplinary transit teams.Preferred Qualifications 20 years of relevant experience.Master's degree or Professional (P) or Registered Architect (RA) designation.Experience working with large transit agencies.Benefits Benefits information available through HNTB Total Rewards.
