Michael Hsu Office of Architecture, a dynamic and growing architectural firm, is seeking an experienced Project Accountant to join our Austin office. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven professional with a positive attitude who will play a vital role in supporting our firm and brand. A working knowledge of project accounting, architectural practices, and contracts are preferred. This is a hybrid position, based in Austin, TX, requiring a minimum of three days a week working in-person from our Austin office.Responsibilities Manage billing, accounts receivable, and support collection efforts for assigned projects in accordance with monthly deadlinesReview and verify contract data prior to invoice finalization (hourly rates, fixed fee, phase billing, etc.)Process time and expense adjustments prior to invoice issuanceMaintain client billing backup and prepare project budget summaries as requested by project teams or clientsLead bi-monthly follow-up on outstanding accounts receivable and report status to leadershipRecord client payments in the accounting system and apply them to the appropriate invoicesReconcile client retainers, prepaid funds, and overpaymentsMonitor project completion, initiate retainer refunds, and close projects in the ERP systemPresent monthly AR reporting and project financials to leadershipReconcile project-related accounts and support monthly and quarterly close processesJob Requirements 3+ years of accounting experienceProficiency in Deltek Vantagepoint or similar ERP/project accounting systemsMicrosoft Excel (e.g., NetSuite, Deltek Ajera, Sage)Ability to commute to our Austin, TX office a minimum of three days a weekStrong written and verbal communication skillsHigh attention to detail with strong organizational skillsAbility to work both independently and collaborativelyStrong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities without sacrificing accuracyAbility to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExperience in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction (AEC) industry preferredExperience with job costing and project-based accountingPositive attitude and willingness to work within a team#J-18808-Ljbffr
