Position SummaryReporting to the Executive Director Medical Affairs & Advocacy Engagement, the Field Medical Lead at Structure Therapeutics is a senior, field-based scientific leader responsible for advancing the company's medical and clinical objectives through high-impact engagement with external stakeholders. This role serves as a critical extension of the Medical Affairs and Advocacy organization, operating at the intersection of clinical science, healthcare delivery, and strategic insight generation.As a trusted scientific partner, the Field Medical Lead builds and sustains deep relationships with key opinion leaders, investigators, healthcare professionals, and patient communities, facilitating the exchange of scientific information related to the company's pipeline and therapeutic focus areas. The role requires a high level of expertise in interpreting and communicating clinical and translational data, particularly in fast‑evolving therapeutic landscapes.The Field Medical Lead plays a pivotal role in supporting clinical development programs by identifying and engaging top investigators, and providing field‑based insights that inform study design, feasibility, and execution. In parallel, the individual gathers and synthesizes external insights—including treatment patterns, unmet medical needs, and competitive intelligence—to shape internal medical strategy and decision‑making.Job ResponsibilitiesScientific & External EngagementBuild relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), academic institutions, and healthcare providersPresent clinical and scientific data on metabolic therapiesLead high-level scientific discussions on disease state and treatment landscapeRepresent the company at medical and community congressesField Medical Strategy & LeadershipGenerate and execute the Field Medical Plan aligned with global medical strategyLead the build‑out and hiring of the Field Medical organization, establishing team structure, capabilities, and best practicesIdentify insights from the field and translate them into actionable strategyCollaborate with internal stakeholders (Preclinical, Clinical Development, Operations, Commercial, Regulatory, Legal)Evidence Generation & InsightsSupport Investigator‑Initiated Trials (IITs) and real‑world evidence studiesGather and synthesize medical insights from HCP interactionsInform clinical development plans and lifecycle managementCross‑Functional CollaborationPartner with:Clinical development (trial design considerations, medical insights, unmet medical need)Clinical Operations (investigator needs and engagement)Market access (value messaging)Commercial teams (compliant scientific support)Ensure all activities comply with regulatory and ethical standardsQualificationsEducationMD, PharmD, or PhD in a relevant scientific fieldExperience10+ years in biotech/pharmaStrong background in metabolic diseases (e.g., obesity, type 2 diabetes)Prior experience as:Senior MSLField Medical Director / LeadSkillsDeep scientific expertise in metabolism. Direct experience in obesity, type 2 diabetes, or incretin‑based therapies is preferredStrong communication and presentation skillsLeadership and team management abilityStrategic thinking with execution focusTravel RequiredRegional or national coverageTravel (50%) for HCP engagement and conferences, corporate meetingsCompensation & BenefitsStructure Therapeutics Inc. is an Equal‑Opportunity Employer.Structure Therapeutics is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices, and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $260K-$365K. The exact base pay offered for this role will depend on various factors, including but not limited to the candidate's geography, qualifications, skills, and experience.At Structure, base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate will be eligible for an annual performance incentive bonus, new hire equity, and ongoing performance‑based equity.
