QUALITY CONTROL ENGINEER — ELECTRICAL, HVAC & PLUMBINGPremier Service Company, Inc. | Tuscaloosa, AL | Full-Time | Salaried | $58,000-$75,000 DOEWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Control Engineer to oversee quality assurance and control processes for electrical, HVAC, and plumbing construction projects. This position is responsible for ensuring all work meets company standards, project specifications, safety requirements, and applicable codes while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and operational excellence.POSITION OVERVIEWThe Quality Control Engineer will work closely with project managers, field supervisors, foremen, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are completed correctly, efficiently, and in compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Assurance & InspectionsConduct field inspections for electrical, HVAC, and plumbing installations.Verify workmanship complies with project drawings, specifications, and local/state codes.Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards.Perform punch list inspections and monitor corrective actions.Maintain quality documentation, reports, and inspection records.Coordinate testing and commissioning activities.Project SupportCollaborate with project managers and field leadership throughout project lifecycle.Review plans, specifications, and submittals for quality and constructability concerns.Identify deficiencies and recommend corrective solutions.Assist with project closeout documentation and owner turnover packages.Compliance & SafetyEnsure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.Monitor adherence to NEC, IPC, IMC, and other applicable codes and standards.Participate in safety meetings and jobsite audits.Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and safety.Training & Process ImprovementAssist in training field personnel on quality standards and installation best practices.Help develop standard operating procedures and quality checklists.Analyze recurring issues and recommend process improvements.Promote a culture of craftsmanship, accountability, and continuous improvement.QualificationsBachelor's -Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.Minimum 3-5 years of experience in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or commercial construction.Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and code requirements.Knowledge of NEC, plumbing, and mechanical codes.Experience conducting inspections and quality audits.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments.Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software.Preferred QualificationsOSHA 30 CertificationExperience with commissioning processesQA/QC certifications or related industry certificationsBackground in commercial or industrial construction projectsPhysical RequirementsAbility to walk jobsites and climb ladders when necessary.Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.Ability to work in indoor and outdoor construction environments.Core ValuesCommitment to quality craftsmanshipIntegrity and accountabilitySafety-first mindsetTeam-oriented leadershipCustomer-focused serviceBenefitsCompetitive salaryHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysRetirement plan / 401(k)Company vehicle or vehicle allowance (if applicable)Professional development opportunities#J-18808-Ljbffr
