Overview Mental Health Professional, The Living RoomDo you want to help others and make a difference? Heritage has created a team to provide support and guidance to individuals seeking a wide range of needs from our Living Room program. The program is open 24 hours, 7 days per week, and we are hiring for all three shifts!Core Responsibilities Empower individuals to set recovery goals and take ownership of their recovery through a community that promotes personal growth, empowerment, responsibility, and independenceAdvocate and collaborate with participants treatment teamProvide a supportive response to individuals needing support, assistance, or referral and linkageScreen for suicide and homicide riskAssist individuals in identifying, applying, and accessing community resourcesRefer and link to a wide array of community and agency resources including mental health, substance use, healthcare, budgeting, housing, education, employment, and social supportAssist individuals in creating a wellness toolbox, developing a daily plan, identifying stressors and early warning signs, creating an action plan when stressors increase, and developing a crisis planParticipate in a team-based approach to providing treatment in collaboration with clinical teams, healthcare providers, community organizations, and other partners invested in an individual's recoveryProvide short-term case management or counselingKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to work with individuals with a mental health and/or substance use diagnosis in a kind, caring and supportive approach that instills hopeAbility to rapport quickly with individuals seeking helpAbility to work in a team-based environmentAbility to be flexible to help anyone, anywhere, and anytimeEducation and Experience Experience working with individuals with a mental health or substance use diagnosis is preferredBachelor's Degree in psychology, social work, or similar human services field, with the ability to function as a Mental Health Professional, is highly recommendedMinimum high school diploma or equivalent, plus five years of experience in a social service setting is requiredValid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of current insurance are requiredSalary Range Salary: High School Degree or GED + 5 years experience: $23.00/hour + every other Friday off paid wellness dayHeritage also offers the following with this position Generous vacation, sick and personal leaveWellness Day - every other Friday off paid wellness dayHealth Club/Fitness ReimbursementEmployee Assistance ProgramContinuing education opportunitiesTuition assistance programAgency provided life insurance and short-term disability policiesRetirement plans (401k and Roth)Optional insurance benefits, including health, dental, vision, flex spending accounts (healthcare, dependent care), and additional life insurance.
