Cloud DevOps Engineer

Irving, TX (hybrid schedule 2 days onsite but could go up more) 12+ months Onsite Interview $65/Hr on W2

Must Haves:

• 8+ years of overall IT experience
• 4+ years of AWS Cloud Infrastructure experience
• Proven experience with CI/CD tools and practices (Harness, Jenkins, Client Project, GitHub, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with Helm charts
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, etc.) for automating cloud infrastructure and deployments
• Experience with monitoring tools like AWS CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus, or similar
• Experience implementing security best practices on AWS, including IAM roles/policies, encryption, and network security
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container management
• B.S. degree in Computer Science or similar technical field.

Plusses:

• Terraform or other similar IaC tools
• Experience developing application with Java is a plus.

Manager Notes:

• Looking for at least 8 years of overall experience
• 4 years of AWS Cloud Infrastructure experience
• Should know how CI/CD pipelines work
• Helm Charts will be important to the role and using to deploy (preferred) but Terraform is 2nd choice
• Strong scripting skills in bash, python, and ansible - will be about 40% of the role's day to day
• Team is using AWS EKS
• Large enterprise background is must have and banking experience is a plus but not required
• Should target candidates with a DevOps background
• This consultant will be deploying pipelines and developing code (engineering role)
• Helm Charts is used to develop the code and charts and deployment through the CI/CD pipeline
