We're looking for a Commercial Loan Officer to join our Ag Lending team!Responsibilities IncludeGenerate new loan opportunities from both existing portfolio clients and outside sourcesOriginate and renew Agribusiness Operating Lines and Loans, Equipment Finance as well as Owner Occupied Agribusiness related Real Estate LoansEvaluate annual crop production plans and budgetsCompile loan package and facilitate negotiation of loan structure with applicants, including fees, loan repayment options, and other credit termsReview applicant financial status, credit and collateral evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan after receiving application back from Credit Services departmentPrepare and present credit analysis and recommendations on agribusiness borrowing requests; demonstrate sound judgment in recommending loans for approval or declinationProficient in reading and developing ag budgets and ag financial statements requiredMonitor portfolio for quality, risk, and adherence to Bank policy and agribusiness lending best practicesWork closely with Agribusiness Banking Leadership and Credit Administration to ensure sound portfolio management, client introductions and timely resolution of issuesMaintain active involvement in community organizations and activities, including those related to the Agribusiness communityWhat You'll Need to be SuccessfulCommunication – ability to speak and write clearly and persuasively in all situations and speak effectively before groups of customers or employeesProblem-solving Skills – ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and work well in group problem‑solving situationsCustomer Service – ability to respond promptly to customer needs, solicit customer feedback to improve service and respond to requests for service and assistanceAccuracy – strong attention to detail; demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in workJudgement – will exhibit sound and accurate judgment, support and explain reasoning for decisions and include appropriate people in decision‑making processAmbition – will set and achieve challenging goals, demonstrate persistence and overcome obstaclesProductivity – will meet productivity standards, complete work in a timely manner and strive to increase productivityTeamwork – can listen without interrupting, remain open to others' ideas and foster quality focus in the teamProfessionalism – ability to approach others in a tactful manner; react well under pressure or in difficult situationsDependability – will take responsibility for own actions and follow through on commitmentsTime Management – can prioritize and plan work activities and use time efficientlyQualificationsHS Diploma or GED RequiredMinimum of 5 years' related experience in commercial and agribusiness lending requiredBachelor's degree in business or a related field from four‑year college or university preferredStrong understanding of underwriting standards for commercial and agribusiness loans requiredStrong proficiency in Microsoft office products preferredDeep understanding of commercial and agribusiness bank programsWhy You Should ApplyFull‑time position with excellent compensation and benefits packageGenerous time off programsProfit‑sharingDiscounted stock purchase programExcellent growth and development opportunitiesAnd much more!The purpose of this job description is to provide a summary of duties related to the position.
