The Senior Manager, Corporate Communications is responsible for shaping and elevating how SCIEX is represented to the worldhelping strengthen our brand, amplify our scientific leadership, and drive measurable business impact. This strategic individual contributor owns and advances SCIEX's external communications strategy by shaping the company's corporate narrative, driving media engagement, and supporting executive thought leadershipensuring SCIEX is positioned as a trusted leader in life sciences and analytical innovation. The role will partner closely with senior leaders across marketing, R&D, and the business to translate priorities into compelling stories that resonate with external stakeholders, including media, customers, and the broader scientific community.

This position reports to the Head of Communications, SCIEX. The role is located in Marlborough, MA, and requires job performance onsite at the posted location. For qualified internal candidates, the company may consider the possibility of remote or non-posted sites given their current employment location, based on business needs and company policy.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead and execute the corporate media relations and executive thought leadership strategy to support the SCIEX corporate narrative and drive brand preference for SCIEX.
  • Lead and execute the external communications strategy for the SCIEX product portfolio and scientific areas, including product press releases and scientific thought leadership, to deliver brand preference and strengthen market position, in alignment with business strategy and in partnership with R&D and Marketing.
  • Translate business priorities and scientific innovation into a compelling external corporate narrative and scientific/product messaging for use with media and other key stakeholders.
  • Manage responses to media inquiries, cultivate strong relationships with key media contacts for SCIEX, and oversee engagements with communications agency partners.
  • Measure the performance and impact of external communications activities against key metrics linked to business outcomes and brand preference, translating insights into actionable results and optimization of future initiatives.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications and media engagement, including product, science & technology communications and thought leadership, preferably in diagnostics, life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotech or healthcare sectors.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field.
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills with an exceptionally strong eye for detail, alongside solid strategic, analytical and planning skills, with a creative approach to problem solving.
  • Hands-on experience of using technology and AI to optimize communications tasks, including drafting messaging, developing press releases, analyzing media coverage and conducting media research.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data and insights to measure impact of thought leadership and media activities and optimize future initiatives.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Crisis and issues management in regulated industries.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to project confidence and influence others
  • Business acumen that can translate business priorities into high-impact communications strategies.

The annual salary range for this role is $125,000-$165,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
