Lifesteps is seeking a Disability Services Program Specialist. This full-time position based in Export, PA works a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. If you have a strong desire to help others and serve the community, this is the right opportunity for you.Position SummaryThe Program Specialist creates an environment empowering individuals through the development of skills, coordination of resources, and supportive services to help individuals live as independently as possible. The Program Specialist ensures special needs adult individuals have regularly scheduled medical, dental, psychiatric, and psychological services in accordance with regulations and doctor recommendations.The Program Specialist is responsible for ensuring the health, safety and well‑being of persons with intellectual disabilities by assisting in the development and implementation of appropriate plans for their care and development. (i.e. Individual Plans (IP), Restrictive Procedure Plans, Social Emotional Environmental Plans, Fade Plans and Desensitization Plans.)This position is a combination of both hands‑on work with individuals and administrative duties.
