This role requires deep expertise in Layer 1 networking, data center facilities (power, cooling, structured cabling), and vendor management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building or supporting low-voltage infrastructure in data centers.Key Responsibilities:Coordinate implementation and support efforts for new and existing data centersManage onsite vendors to deliver infrastructure build-outsCreate and maintain documentation for cabling and build standardsReview Bills of Materials (BoMs) to determine project scopeDevelop project scopes of work for vendor quotingParticipate in vendor bidding and selection processesDesign and implement structured cabling solutions for new builds and expansionsManage multiple concurrent infrastructure projectsDeliver scalable, sustainable, and repeatable solutions and processesCollaborate with Program Management to ensure project deliverables and customer satisfactionEngage with key project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycleParticipate in quarterly business reviews with vendorsTroubleshoot cabling infrastructure issues, including patch panels and cordsAssist in developing global standards for cabling and infrastructureRequirementsDesired Skills:Experience designing and deploying complete data center physical plant cabling systemsFamiliar with TIA Data Center Cabling StandardsExperience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologiesKnowledge of network cabling fibreoptic types and transceiver typesExperience installing and troubleshooting bulk fiberoptic cablingExperience with installation and planning of all infrastructure within the data center the white spaceBroad understanding of infrastructure technologiesStrong track record of successful vendor management across multiple vendors in various locationsExperience using test equipment such as VFL power meter and OTDRThorough understanding of Cat 5 Cat 6 and OM1 - OS2 fiber optic cabling systemsKnowledge of data center critical environment electrical InfrastructureKnowledge of colocation data center critical environment mechanical infrastructureExperience in development of RFI/RFQ/RFPs for requesting vendor quotingTechnology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
