We currently have an immediate opening for an A/V Design Engineer.AccountabilitiesDesign, engineer, and manage the production of project documents for a variety of projects that include audio, video, VTC conferencing, broadcast cable, video production, networking, lighting, and control systems for small to medium sized projectsPrepare A/V system drawings to include floor plans, RCPs, room details, construction details, riser diagrams, functional diagrams, and others as neededProvide structural, BIM, MEP, and life safety coordinationContinue to maintain technical capabilities and certifications in the following technical areas: networks, audio/video, and broadcast industries and technologies that support these diverse systemsProject ResponsibilitiesFollow and manage project scope of work documents as part of a project contractCreate equipment specifications and bill of materials budgets for cost estimating and purchasingWrite testing, verification, and commissioning plans and other documents per contract requirementsPerform site visits to review installation standards, assist in system testing, verification, commissioning, system programming, system turn‑on, and client trainingEducation & ExperienceBS in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or another related field – preferred3‑8 years' experience in AV Design or IntegrationAVIXA CTS or CTS‑D certification – preferredKnowledge of AutoCAD required, and Revit – preferredOSHA 10 or 30‑hour certification – preferredCompetenciesUnderstanding of design, principles, and operation of audio and video systemsAbility to create system drawings, material lists, and documents that support the proposal, design, integration, and commissioning phases of a projectUnderstanding of basic network topology and protocols, including VLANs, QoS, multicast, unicast, and general network terminologyExperience in Microsoft Office programsAbility to communicate effectively in person and over the phone internally and externallyAbility to work on and navigate a construction siteAbility to apply critical thinking and have a flexible schedule as needed to serve the client's needsOther RequirementsSeniority level: Mid‑Senior levelEmployment type: Full‑timeJob function: Engineering and Information TechnologyIndustries: Entertainment Providers#J-18808-Ljbffr
