Description

The Wholesale Account Manager plays a critical role in strengthening our wholesale customer relationships, expanding our presence in the regional marketplace, and ensuring every client receives outstanding service. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with strong plant knowledge and a talent for sales, communication, and strategic account growth.You'll represent Unity at industry events, lead communication with wholesale accounts, collaborate with our production and sales teams, and help shape strategies that support the nursery's continued growth.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure continued sales growth and meet/exceed sales goalsBuild, maintain, and grow strong relationships with wholesale clients.Initiate regular communication through calls, email, and digital platforms.Proactively identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to convert prospects.Represent Unity at trade shows, conferences, and client visits to strengthen visibility and engagement.Account Management & OperationsOversee all wholesale customer orders—from intake through fulfillment—ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.Coordinate special-order plant sourcing and communicate availability, pricing and timelines with clients.Collect and analyze sales and market data to support business improvement initiatives.Resolve client issues with professionalism, urgency, and a solutions-driven mindset.Business Support & CollaborationParticipate in internal business meetings and provide updates on client activity, sales projections, and market insights.Assist the management team with budgeting, forecasting, and sourcing strategies.Support onsite nursery sales and special events as needed.What Success Looks LikeStrong year-over-year growth in wholesale account engagement and salesHigh customer satisfaction and retentionEfficient, accurate order coordination and communicationProactive identification of new opportunities and improved processesRequired QualificationsMinimum 3 years proven experience in outside sales and customer service experience, preferably in the horticulture industryStrong sales awareness with track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.Strong knowledge of native plant material including trees, shrubs and perennialsExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsSelf-motivated, highly organized with strong attention to detail with ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.Ability to work both independently and collaborativelyDemonstrated experience in a leadership or customer management roleValid driver's licensePreferred QualificationsExperience working with wholesale nurseries or landscape industry clientsFamiliarity with CRM systems or sales tracking platformsEvent, trade show, or B2B relationship-development experienceComfort with social media or marketing toolsEducationBachelor's DegreeCompensation & ScheduleSalary: $54,080-$62,400 based on experienceAdditional commission on sales goalsFull-time position, Monday–Friday, with flexibility for seasonal weekend workPaid vacationPaid holidaysHealth, vision and dental insurance planRetirement plan with company contributionWhy Join Unity?Opportunity to shape the growth of a respected native-plant nurseryCollaborative, supportive environment with mission-driven colleaguesMeaningful work tied to ecological stewardship and community impact#J-18808-Ljbffr
