About the RoleAnvil is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Mineral Processing Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and optimization of material handling, comminution, and separation circuits in our process. This role is for someone who is highly experienced and also deeply curious. You must be motivated by working on challenging, novel problems in your field.You will work closely with Anvil's Head of Technology, Chief Scientist, external EPC partners, equipment vendors, and leadership to oversee the company's multiple material handling work streams. If you are a hands‑on engineer with significant industry experience in mineral processing, who is now looking for a creative challenge, this role may be for you.What You'll DoDesign and oversee experiments to determine optimal mineral processing circuits to achieve target product specificationsOversee ongoing material handling test work performed by third‑party laboratoriesLead equipment selection, sizing, and spec definition for comminution, classification, separation, and other material handling systemsReview and approve vendor process documentation, equipment submittals, and technical calculationsSupport development of PFDs, P&IDs, and process design packagesDefine process guarantees, performance criteria, and acceptance testing requirementsSupport procurement by developing technical datasheets, RFQ packages, and bid evaluationsProvide technical input to project scheduling, sequencing, and execution planningSupport commissioning, startup, and operational troubleshooting as the project moves toward mechanical completionMaintain process documentation, technical logs, and lessons‑learned records throughout test work and project developmentExperience8–15+ years of mineral processing engineering experience in industrial, mining, or related sectorsHands‑on experience with comminution, classification, separation, or bulk solids processing systems across a variety of mineral contextsExperience working on capital projects from concept through commissioning — not exclusively design‑office workTrack record of owning process engineering scope as a lead contributor on complex projectsSkills & AttributesDeeply curious – this role is for someone who loves to figure things out and will wrestle a problem to the ground, no matter whatStrong understanding of processing unit operations and equipment performance characteristics across a range of feedstocks and product requirementsStrong technical communicator — able to interface clearly with engineers, vendors, contractors, and non‑technical leadershipPractical, solutions‑oriented mindset with a bias toward executionHighly organized, with strong documentation habits and follow‑throughPreferred EducationDegrees in Mineral Processing Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
