Senior AccountantPosition OverviewOur client is seeking a Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting to ensure accurate financial reporting, support operational accounting activities, and maintain strong internal controls within a manufacturing or process-driven environment. This role partners closely with operations leadership to analyze costs, improve financial visibility, and support strategic decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAPLead month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliationsPerform variance analysis on production costs, labor, inventory, and operational expensesSupport cost accounting, inventory accounting, and fixed asset reconciliationsPartner with operations teams to analyze cost drivers and efficiency metricsAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelingMaintain and improve internal controls and accounting processesSupport external audits and compliance requirementsAssist with inventory valuation and tracking processesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance3–6+ years of accounting experience; manufacturing experience preferredStrong knowledge of GAAP and financial reportingExperience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skillsCPA or CPA candidate preferredPreferred ExperienceManufacturing, agribusiness, or process industry experienceCost accounting and inventory accounting exposureFamiliarity with commodity-based accounting and operational reportingStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to communicate financial insights to non-finance teamsStrong time management and ability to meet deadlines#J-18808-Ljbffr
