The Accounting Manager will be responsible for various accounting, human resources and clerical duties for the company.Essential functionsManage accounts receivable, including billing, collection calls, cash receipts, etc.Administer payroll, including payroll taxesPrepare and analyze financial statementsPerform office responsibilities, including answering phones, copying, faxing, etc.Aid with the coordination and execution of projects and tasks assigned by the Director of Finance, including projections, cash flows and other ad hoc reportsOversee the overall functionality of the office by ordering supplies, setting up and maintaining servicesPrepare for meetings by aiding with scheduling coordination, presentation assembly and facility setupMaintain employee filesFacilitate new hire onboarding and orientationAssist with administration of employee health and welfare benefitsCoordinate with employee and insurance company on submissions of workers compensation claimsRequired competency, education, and experienceDegree in Accounting or related fieldProficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook)Accounting experience (AP, AR, Payroll, etc)Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyExcellent organizational, prioritization and problem‑solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality on sensitive projectsQuick learner and able to adapt to ever changing needsAbility to maintain a professional appearance at all timesPreferred education and experienceAt least 5 years of Accounting experience (AP, AR, Payroll, etc)Experience in a manufacturing environmentPhysical DemandsHigh manual dexterity of hands and fingersAbility to sit for long periods of timeAbility to use a computer for a prolonged amount of timeAbility to move or lift files and boxes up to 20 poundsWork environmentOffice setting in a manufacturing environment.Position type and expected hours of workFull time, Monday-Friday. 40 hours per week with occasional overtime when necessary.TravelNone.Compensation/BenefitsSTS offers a competitive compensation and benefits package which includes competitive pay, dental insurance, vision insurance, health insurance, short term disability, long term disability, company paid life insurance, voluntary life insurance, 401(k) plan with match, education reimbursement, paid vacation and holidays, and flex spending.Other dutiesThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
