Lochmueller Group is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our Roadway/Highway Design team. We are looking for a technical expert who is passionate about roadway/highway design engineering, enhancing the quality of projects, and mentoring junior level staff.Lochmueller Group is a regional engineering consulting firm with an emphasis on infrastructure. Our dedication to building a team that demonstrates our corporate values (CARDIA) is what sets us apart: CARDIA means “from the heart” – Creativity; Accountability; Respect; Dedication; Integrity; Achievement.In this position, the candidate will:Serve as a technical lead in the planning and execution of complex engineering projectsConduct advanced engineering analysis and design for specialized projectsProvide technical guidance to project teams and junior engineersStay updated on industry trends, codes, and emerging technologiesCollaborate with cross‑functional teams to solve complex engineering challengesContribute to the development and improvement of engineering processes and standardsMentor and coach junior and mid‑level engineersAct as a subject matter expert in a specific engineering disciplinePerform QA/QC on project deliverablesParticipate in firm‑wide quality control initiativesDevelop project scopes, budgets, and schedules for contract developmentCoordinate with other departments and sub‑consultants to allocate project scope and develop budget and schedule proposalsAssist with business development efforts and prepare statements of qualifications and letters of interestMay perform other duties associated with this roleQualifications for this role:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field15+ years of experience performing as a project engineer or project manager on local agency and/or DOT roadway projectsPossesses advanced, specialized knowledge in roadway/highway designLicensed Professional EngineerProficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPointStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work as part of a team and mentor junior level staffWhat we offer:Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) – Become an employee‑owner!Rich coverage for major medical insurance401(k) plan with company matchBasic life insurance (with option for additional voluntary life insurance)Short‑Term and Long‑Term disability insuranceGenerous vacation and sick leaveFlexible scheduling and telecommuting opportunitiesStudent loan repayment benefitLochmueller Group is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
