RWE Americas, LLCFull‑time, permanent position (To start as soon as possible)Functional area: Finance / ControllingRemuneration: ExemptThe General Ledger Associate will be responsible for assigned projects to deliver month‑end financial results in a timely manner to report to both the parent company and its investors. The Associate will collaborate closely with the Controlling Team to assist in variance analysis, maintain a high‑quality, deliverable‑focused culture within the team, and continuously improve the efficiency of accounting and reporting processes.Role ResponsibilitiesPerform various month‑end close duties, including preparing standard and miscellaneous journal entries; prepare balance‑sheet account reconciliations and roll‑forward schedules.Prepare monthly/quarterly US GAAP financial statements for review by the FR team.Provide ad hoc analysis as needed for internal customers and assist with special projects.Prepare responses to accounting‑related inquiries from both internal and external auditors.Establish best practices related to the monthly close process and account reconciliation to operate efficiently and effectively.Job Requirements and ExperiencesBachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.CPA license preferred.Minimum 2 years of relevant work in the energy industry or related field.Familiarity with IFRS and US GAAP.Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage customer relationships.Demonstrated desire to learn about the company and the renewables space.Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams.Strong leadership and communication skills and ability to meet deadlines.Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables.Ability to multitask while working independently and as part of a team.Motivated self‑starter, goal‑oriented, with strong problem‑solving abilities.Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds.Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable.Detail‑oriented, with strong business acumen and a sound understanding of business concepts.Pay rangeThe annual base salary range for this position in Illinois is $64,000 - $90,000. The listed salary range represents a good‑faith estimate for this position and the range for new‑hire salaries across all U.S. locations.
