This role is based onsite in Middlebury, VT.Core ResponsibilitiesProvides psychological counseling and crisis intervention for studentsImplements appropriate assessments and clinical interventionsFacilitates group workshops, therapy, and series as assigned to contribute to meet outreach goalsBuilds relationships with campus community to reduce stigma and increase help/service seekingCompletes timely documentation in the EHR according to best practices and Counseling policiesFacilitates skills and process trainings for students and employees as assignedConsults with Director, Counseling staff, and other Center for Health and Wellness colleagues around risk management, referrals, confidentiality, and crisis management supportParticipates in Counselor on‑call rotationQualificationsClinical experience in assessment, treatment planning, shared decision‑making, and crisis responseCommitment to multicultural approaches to clinical careCommitment to addressing intersections of multiple identities and their related health outcomesCommitment to collaboration with clinical and administrative staff to support student successKnowledge of the social, psychological, and physical developmental stages of students 2 years of experience (graduate placements/internships may count toward this prerequisite)Master's degree required in counseling, psychology, social work, or related clinical field with current, or eligible to obtain within 6 months, Vermont licensure.Physical Demands and Working ConditionsRegularly operates a computer and other office productivity tools. Regularly moves about inside the office and requires regular cross‑campus and cross‑town travel.
