Adjunct FacultyArt HistoryUMGC EuropeThe Undergraduate SchoolLocation: Spangdahlem, GermanyUniversity of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach on‑site in Germany in the Art History program.Required Education and ExperienceMaster's degree in Art History or related field from an accredited institution of higher learning.Professional experience in Art History or related field.Attach unofficial transcripts and/or credential evaluations for all graduate degrees.Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education is strongly preferred.Local applicants only. Adjunct faculty positions are not eligible for UMGC sponsored logistical support. Applicants must have and be able to maintain their own legal status in the country in which they apply to teach.Materials needed for submissionResume / Curriculum Vitae.Cover letter (highly preferred).Unofficial transcripts for all conferred graduate degrees with conferral date (or credential evaluations).Official transcripts may be required as part of the selection process. If degrees were earned from an institution(s) outside the U.S., UMGC requires a third‑party credit evaluation from a NACES‑approved vendor ( Adjunct Faculty Role at UMGCAs an adjunct faculty member, you will:Actively engage students through frequent interaction that motivates them to succeed and conveys genuine enthusiasm for their learning.Guide students in active collaboration and the application of their learning in problem‑ and project‑based learning demonstrations.Provide rich and regular constructive feedback, utilizing rubrics effectively for assessment of student work, and acknowledging student accomplishments.Demonstrate relevant and current subject‑matter expertise, and help students connect concepts across their academic program.Provide feedback to your program chair on possible curricular improvements.Benefits Package HighlightsHealth Coverage: Access to health care, medical with vision, dental, and prescription plans for individuals and families, effective from the first of the month following hire date.
