Ciorba Group is looking for a creative and technically versatile Marketing Coordinator / Graphic Designer who can bridge the worlds of marketing communications and engineering visualization. This unique dual-function role sits within the Marketing Group while also collaborating directly with our technical engineering teams to produce high-quality renderings and visual content for both proposals and active projects.You'd be joining Ciorba Group at a pivotal moment, our Chicago office is the engine of a nearly 100-year-old firm that's expanding its footprint across Illinois and deepening relationships with IDOT, the Illinois Tollway, CDOT, and municipalities throughout the region. This is where our largest, most complex infrastructure pursuits are managed, and where career trajectories move fast for the right people.Our office is conveniently located near the I-90/Cumberland interchange on Chicago's Northwest Side, offering easy access for commuters throughout the region. For those using public transit, the office is just a short walk from the Cumberland Station on the CTA Blue Line, providing a direct connection to/from downtown Chicago.Ciorba Group is an employee-owned (ESOP) engineering firm with offices in Chicago, Peoria, and Crown Point. We're people-first, collaborative, and built for the long haul, just like the infrastructure we design.If you have a passion for design, an interest in infrastructure and the built environment, and the skills to bring engineering concepts to life visually, this role was built for you.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESMarketing & Proposal SupportCollaborate with the marketing team on proposals, SOQs, and presentations from concept to submissionDesign and produce proposal graphics, covers, layouts, infographics, and exhibit pages using Adobe Creative SuiteWrite and edit project descriptions, captions, and other marketing contentMaintain the firm's graphic standards, templates, and digital asset libraryAssist with website updates, social media graphics, event materials, and internal communicationsSupport CRM data entry and marketing administration as neededEngineering Visualization & RenderingPartner with project engineers and designers to develop 3D renderings and visualizations for proposal submissions and active project deliverablesCreate and refine models in SketchUp and produce photorealistic renders using Enscape for client-facing presentationsTranslate engineering drawings, plans, and concepts into compelling visual narratives for a non-technical audienceCollaborate with project managers to understand visualization needs and deliver on scheduleDevelop before/after visualizations, streetscape renderings, and context imagery for community engagement materialsQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or related field2+ years of professional graphic design experience; A/E/C industry experience preferredExpert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)Proficiency in SketchUp and Enscape strongly preferred; experience with other rendering tools (Lumion, V‑Ray, etc.) also consideredStrong portfolio demonstrating both print/proposal design and 3D visualization workAbility to interpret engineering plans and CAD drawings to inform modeling and renderingsStrong communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working across both marketing and technical teamsProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteFamiliarity with Deltek Vision or similar CRM is a plusWHAT WE OFFERCompetitive salary commensurate with experienceComprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, and life insuranceEmployee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) — build equity as you build your careerFlexible hybrid work arrangementCollaborative, team-oriented culture with access to leadership and firm strategyLifestyle Spending Account (LSA) to support your wellbeingThis is a rare opportunity to combine creative design with engineering storytelling at a firm that has shaped Illinois infrastructure for nearly 100 years.
