GSRP Preschool Assistant/ParaprofessionalTitle: GSRP Preschool Assistant/ParaprofessionalReports to: Early Childhood/Tuition-Based Program SupervisorJob Function: Responsible for working closely with the lead preschool teacher to support the academic, emotional, and overall welfare of the preschool-aged student and the classroom.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESWork as a team member in providing a quality educational preschool programAssist in planning, implementing, and monitoring curriculum and assessmentAssist in establishing parent involvement activitiesAssist in home visitsAssist in all daily operations of the programWork with individual and small groups of studentsAssist children with personal health care needsWork collaboratively and communicate with the classroom teacher to implement lesson plans, activities, and classroom tasksAssist the teacher with monitoring behavior and supporting the educational process in the classroomObserve students' performance and record relevant data to assess progressCollect and document data regarding the student(s)Maintain accurate and complete student recordsParticipate in training and ongoing professional developmentAble to work flexible hours as needed for family involvement activities, including home visits, recruitment events, and open housePerform other duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES REQUIREDRequired - Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development or the equivalent; or a valid preschool classroom CDA credential.Ability to be self-directed and take initiative when given a variety of tasks and responsibilities.Familiarity with research-based preschool curricula, screening, and assessment tools, as well as the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS).Ability to work well with diverse families.Work effectively, make decisions, and problem-solve collaboratively within a team.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and teachers.Have current certification in infant, child, and adult CPR and first aid, or be willing to obtain it.Complete 24 clock hours of annual training in professional development.Job RequirementsAt least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.Associate degree preferred.Citizenship, residency or work visa required.Position Type: Full-TimeStarting Date: Immediately#J-18808-Ljbffr
