At WSP, you can.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Geologist or Environmental Engineer to support our growing site investigation, remediation, and closure projects across the Midwest. This role will focus on environmental remediation, site investigation, and closure activities supporting corrective action, source area remediation, and site closure.Your ImpactDevelop conceptual site models (CSMs) and remediation strategiesPrepare technical reports, including work plans, remedial action plans, site investigation reports, and closure documentationDrive projects through regulatory closure (RCRA, CERCLA, and State Lead)Design and implement in-situ remediation technologies (e.g., chemical oxidation, bioremediation, soil vapor extraction)Lead and support environmental site investigations and remediationPerform and oversee soil and groundwater sampling, logging, and site characterization activitiesSupport corrective action strategies, including remedy selection and performance monitoringInterpret and analyze geologic, hydrogeologic, and chemical data to support risk‑based decision‑makingCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams and interface with clients, regulators, and subcontractorsEnsure compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and QA/QC proceduresConduct and oversee subsurface investigations (borings, monitoring wells, and trenching)Evaluate contaminant fate and transport in soil and groundwater systemsMentor junior staff and support project delivery executionRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field5+ years of experience in environmental consultingDemonstrated experience with:Soil and groundwater remediationIn-situ treatment technologies including injectionsSite investigation and site closureReport WritingExperience with data analysis, interpretation, and QA/QC standardsAbility to work both independently and in team environmentsPreferred QualificationsProfessional Geologist (PG) or ability to obtainPFOA/PFAS ExperienceExperience with RCRA Corrective Action, CERCLA Remedial Action and State Lead ProgramsProject management experience (scope, schedule, budgets)Familiarity with state‑specific Midwest regulatory programsBenefitsEmployees are afforded a comprehensive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings focused on providing health and financial stability throughout the employee's career.Equal Opportunity EmployerWSP USA (and all of its U.S. companies) is an Equal Opportunity Employer Race/Age/Color/Religion/Sex/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity/National Origin/Disability or Protected Veteran Status.EligibilityThe selected candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.#J-18808-Ljbffr
