The candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects in a variety of market sectors including DOD, Federal and Private Space Industry projects. This position is offered in a hybrid work environment, with a combination of in-office collaboration and remote work flexibility.In This Role, You WillLead Revit production and preparation of fire protection construction documents for multiple projects.Produce complex floor plans, riser diagrams, schedules, details, and equipment layouts for new and renovation projects.Work independently with minimal oversight.Coordinate Revit models with mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural disciplines.Discuss design during architect/client design review meetings and coordinate design development.Lead clash detection and resolution coordination issues during design development.Manage drawing deliverables, deadlines, and production priorities for assigned projects.Prepare design calculations and selection of equipment for building fire protection systems.Write and edit fire protection specifications, engineering reports, and other technical design documentation.Familiarity with applicable industry codes and standards and apply requirements to project designs.Support construction administration through submittal reviews, RFIs, punch walks, field revisions, and as-built updates.Operational ResponsibilitiesMentor junior staff and contribute to internal standards, training, and quality control procedures.Support proposals, bid site visits, and business development efforts as needed.You Will Be a Great Fit IfYou have a minimum of 5+ years of fire protection design experience.Must have working knowledge of the ASHRAE, ASME, NFPA, and NEC; with a preference for knowledge of the IBC, IMC, IECC, and IPC requirements.Skills/abilitiesProficient in performing hydraulic calculations and using industry standard software such as AutoSPRINK or similar.Proficient in Bluebeam Revu, Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office.Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines.Excellent work ethic and attitude.Good communication and time management skills.Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work.LocationMerritt Island, FLWork Authorization/Security ClearanceMust be a US Citizen for Security Clearance requirements.Compensation & BenefitsThe expected base salary range for this role is $80,000 - $100,000 USD per year.
