Job DescriptionWe are in search of an experienced General Ledger Accountant to join our team in AMHERST, New York. The successful candidate will play a significant role in maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and managing the reconciliation process. The Sr. Accountant will also be involved in preparing and posting general ledger transactions, generating financial reports, and contributing to the budgeting process.ResponsibilitiesPrepare, review, and post journal entries to the general ledgerConduct reconciliations for multiple companies on a regular basis and create journal entries as neededGenerate financial statements for multiple companies and assist with the preparation of consolidated financial statementsAnalyze financial results for multiple companies, comparing them to the prior year and current year budgetsAssist in the development and implementation of annual budgetsPrepare, process, and distribute periodic reports and analysisMaintain Fixed Assets program for multiple companiesProvide insights and recommendations based on financial performance and trendsEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulationsPrepare and file tax returns, including but not limited to sales tax, and income taxCollaborate with other departments to provide financial support and guidanceSupport system upgrades and implementations as neededAssist in the continuous improvement of accounting and financial processesParticipate in special projects and initiatives when requested.QualificationsPossess a thorough understanding of Account ReconciliationProficiency in Balance Sheet ReconciliationAbility to perform Bank ReconciliationsFamiliarity with General Ledger operationsExperience in making Journal EntriesProficiency in Microsoft ExcelAbility to handle Month End Close activitiesBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to multitask and meet deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAt least 3 years of experience in a similar role.If interested, please apply online or reach out to Brooke Felgemacher on LinkedIn.#J-18808-Ljbffr
