OverviewThe Golf Course Superintendent is responsible for the planning, scheduling, and execution of all golf course maintenance activities, with a focus on delivering consistent playing conditions and an exceptional golf experience. The superintendent provides leadership to the maintenance team, manages all turf and irrigation systems, and works closely with management on budgeting, capital needs, and agronomic programs.Experience Required5+ years of prior experience as a Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant SuperintendentStrong knowledge of warm-season turf management, especially Bermudagrass greensProven team leadership and project management skillsStrong understanding of irrigation systems and equipment operationFlorida pesticide applicator license (or ability to obtain within 90 days)Essential ResponsibilitiesMaintain all playing surfaces to high standardsDevelop and implement agronomic programs (fertility, pest control, overseeding, aerification, cultural practices)Monitor soil, moisture, and plant health for optimal conditions on greens, tees, fairways, and roughOversee irrigation system operation, troubleshooting, scheduling, and repairsRecruit, train, and supervise the maintenance team; promote safety and accountabilityManage daily and weekly task scheduling to ensure efficiency and course conditioningCoordinate equipment maintenance and ensure safe, proper equipment operationOversee chemical storage, fuel systems, and maintenance facility standardsAssist in preparing and managing the annual agronomy budgetMaintain accurate records of pesticide applications, fertilizer usage, water management, and complianceCommunicate regularly with management and ownership on course conditions, staffing, and project updatesSupport capital projects and long-term course improvements#J-18808-Ljbffr
