Our ambition is to become a ubiquitous beacon of truth in global media and we need your help adding fuel to the fire.About the roleWe are seeking a highly motivated Regulatory Attorney with 3–7 years of experience to support legal and regulatory strategy for a cutting‑edge U.S., CFTC-regulated exchange (DCM) and clearing organization (DCO) operating within the federal commodity derivatives regulatory framework.This role is ideal for a lawyer with experience in derivatives, exchange and clearing regulation, or financial market structure who is interested in working at the forefront of event contracts and emerging markets. The position will involve direct engagement with regulators, including the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).What you'll doProvide daily support to Legal, Compliance, and Markets teamsAdvise on the application of the Commodity Exchange Act (CEA), CFTC and Securities Exchange Commission regulations to exchange and clearing organization operationsAnalyze legal issues related to CFTC‑regulated prediction marketsDraft and review contract self‑certifications and other regulatory filingsDraft and negotiate participation agreementsDraft comment letters, no‑action requests, and interpretive submissionsPrepare responses to regulatory inquiries and examinationsMonitor regulatory developments and enforcement trendsAdvise on exchange and clearinghouse rulebook developmentCollaborate with Compliance and Surveillance teamsSupport development of internal policies and proceduresSupport litigation strategyWhat we're looking forJ.D. and active U.S. bar membership3–7 years of relevant experienceFamiliarity with the Commodity Exchange Act, CFTC regulations, and related market structureStrong legal writing and analytical skillsStrong judgment and ability to translate legal requirements into practical business guidanceExcellent communication skillsExperience with CFTC processes (preferred)Familiarity with prediction markets (preferred)Experience with FCMs and IBs (preferred)Interest in emerging technologies (preferred)BenefitsCompetitive salary & equityUnlimited PTOFull Health, Vision, & Dental coverage401k matchHardware setup — new MacBook Pro, big display, & accessories#J-18808-Ljbffr
