Description
Path Robotics is redefining what's possible in autonomous welding. Our AI-powered robotic welding systems use advanced sensing and computer vision to adapt in real time. We're building the future of manufacturing, and we're looking for engineers who want to get their hands dirty doing it.We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer with a passion for building hardware that works in the real world. You'll be embedded in our sensing and mobile welding platform team, designing the mechanical systems that put our robots in motion and keep them welding accurately in dynamic, unstructured environments. This is a hands‑on role for someone who thrives on rapid iteration, owns their designs end to end, and cares deeply about how something gets made — not just how it looks in CAD.What You'll DoDesign and develop mechanical assemblies for mobile robotic welding platforms, including sensor integration, structural components and systems, motion systems, and tooling interfacesOwn designs from concept through fabrication, assembly, and field validation — iterating based on test results and real‑world feedbackCollaborate closely within a cross‑functional team including mechanical, electrical, software, and systems engineers to integrate sensing hardware (cameras, LiDAR, proximity sensors, etc.) into compact, robust mechanical packagesApply sound design‑for‑manufacturing (DFM) principles across multiple fabrication methods — machined components, sheet metal enclosures, and additive/3D‑printed partsCreate and maintain detailed CAD models, assemblies, drawings, and BOMs in SolidWorks, managed through PDMParticipate in design reviews and contribute to engineering decisions with well‑reasoned tradeoffs between performance, cost, and manufacturabilityWork directly with fabrication vendors and internal shop resources to turn drawings into parts — fastSupport root cause analysis and design improvements driven by field findings and reliability dataWhat We're Looking For3–6 years of mechanical engineering experience in a product development or hardware engineering environmentProficiency in SolidWorks for multi‑body and multi‑component assemblies, with hands‑on use of PDM for version control and release workflowsSolid command of engineering drawing standards and the ability to produce clear, manufacturable drawings; working familiarity with GD&TDemonstrated experience designing for multiple manufacturing methods — machining, sheet metal, and additive manufacturingAbility to read and reason about mechanical interfaces in the context of broader electromechanical systemsWhy You'll Love Working HereCompetitive salary and equity in a well‑funded, high‑growth robotics companyComprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits401(k)Flexible PTOHands‑on, collaborative cultureWho We AreAt Path Robotics we love coming to work to solve interesting and tough challenges but also because our ideas are welcomed and valued. We encourage unique thinking and are dedicated to creating a diverse and inclusive environment. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status. If you require a reasonable accommodation to participate in the application process or any part of the hiring process, please contact HR@path-robotics.com. We are committed to providing equal access and will work with qualified individuals to ensure a fair and accessible hiring experience. We will respond to your request within 48 hours.#J-18808-Ljbffr
