As the world's largest manufacturer of fire equipment, we make sure our vehicles, production teams, and service personnel are ready to do what is necessary to keep communities safe.POSITION SUMMARYThe EHS Coordinator is responsible for assisting the EHS Manager in compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations. This position is required to educate and implement all safety procedures and policies. The EHS Coordinator will facilitate and support a continuous improvement and safety‑conscious culture.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAll employees are required to support Rosenbauer's Mission, Vision, and Values. The following are the essential duties of this position and do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.Leads teams to establish a World Class Environmental, Health & Safety Program and Culture.Tracks and leads continuous improvement Risk Assessment reductions with Cross Functional Work Teams.Educates employees on EHS topics, implements processes, procedures and regulations.Completes and or works with Contractors to monitor and/or test Industrial Hygiene and Safety exposure.Assists Human Resources when requested including but not limited to work comp claims.Leads the Safety Committee monthly training including ongoing program improvements.Investigates Near Hits, First Aid, OSHA Recordables including Loss Time Injuries and Property Damage.Files EHS documentation and shares EHS Communications site wide.Facilitates New Employee Safety Orientation, AWAIR, and regular ongoing Safety Training.Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the company.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA'S)Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience:High school diploma required.Associate degree in Environmental, Health & Safety preferred.3+ years working in a manufacturing setting preferred.General knowledge of Federal and South Dakota State EHS regulations and standards required.5+ years of experience in an EHS role or Safety Committee preferred.OSHA Certification (30 hours) preferred.SkillsLanguageAble to read, reason, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, and legal documents applicable to the position.Able to respond to common inquiries from regulatory agencies, or members of our business community in a professional manner.Able to follow written and verbal directions.Able to communicate with tact and diplomacy through oral and written communications.MathAble to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages.ComputerProficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word.AbilitiesAble to achieve company goals by developing and adhering to standards and process management through a hands‑on approach as a team player.High level of organization, time‑management skills, and self‑discipline.Highly motivated and analytical individuals with acute attention to detail.Able to recognize the importance and adhere to all safety policies to promote a safe working environment.Able to work well with minimal supervision and in a team environment.Able to handle sensitive or confidential information with discretion.Able to facilitate training to multiple people/groups.Equal Opportunity Employer/individuals with disabilities/protected veteransThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
