Safety is a Shared Responsibility and Yonkers Contracting Company has an opportunity for a Site Safety Coordinator to join our team!ResponsibilitiesEffectively implement site-specific safety programMonitor employees & subcontractors' adherence to the site-specific safety & health planConduct site-safety orientation for all employees assigned to the siteConduct and/or coordinate worker training, maintain training recordsHazard anticipation, recognition, evaluation and control through the development of JHA'sEnsure proper use of personal safety protective equipmentConduct daily safety inspection and weekly Safety Toolbox TalksInvestigate and report all accidentsMaintain all safety related documentationPerform audits: inspect project site(s), MPT set-up, and site equipment, ensure compliance documentationProvide technical guidance and coachingSupport project specific safety efforts and promote Yonkers Contracting Safety First cultureQualificationsSite Safety Coordinator CertificationOSHA 30Preferred Certifications - Roadway Safety, Excavation, Confined Space & Utility3-5 years of construction safety experienceOr equivalent combination of education and experienceThorough knowledge of state/government safety regulationsExperience with MPT Set-up in accordance with MUTCD and Work Zone SafetyComputer Skills are essential – Word and ExcelMust have valid driver's license (will require authorization for a motor vehicle report)Ability to take direction, prioritize, execute, and problem solve in a high-pressure environment; must be highly organized and work effectively within given time constraintsDemonstrate effective communication skills, capable of supporting multiple projects, interpersonal skills.
