Description

This is a high-visibility, hands‑on role for a strong early‑career analyst looking for broad exposure and real ownership in a growing, PE‑backed mechanical contracting company. You will work closely with finance leadership and senior management to build the financial infrastructure of the business from the ground up. You will own real, hands‑on work from day one: maintaining the monthly private equity reporting package, supporting the development of branch‑level financial scorecards, and building the analytical capabilities the business needs to make better decisions.What You'll DoPrivate Equity & Management ReportingMaintain and update the monthly PE reporting package for our private equity sponsor, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clear presentation of financial resultsPrepare variance analysis and written commentary explaining key drivers of financial performance versus prior periods and budgetSupport the preparation of management reporting packages for the CFO and senior leadership teamSupport the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, working across departments to gather inputs and build consolidated financial modelsDevelop and maintain branch‑level financial scorecards that reflect performance across our core service linesAnalyze revenue, gross margin, and operational performance by branch and service line, identifying trends, risks, and opportunitiesSupport the development of reporting frameworks that bridge operational and GAAP‑basis financial viewsAd Hoc Analysis & Special ProjectsConduct financial modeling and analysis in support of strategic decisions, including pricing, capital allocation, and operational initiativesSupport the build‑out of more automated and systematic reporting processes as the finance function maturesSupport other analytical projects as directed by finance leadershipWhat We're Looking ForExperience2+ years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or a fast‑paced corporate finance or FP&A role at a growth‑oriented companyDirect experience preparing financial models, variance analyses, and executive‑level reporting packagesPrior exposure to PE‑backed environments, management reporting to sponsors, or multi‑location businesses is a strong plusExperience in construction, field services, or similar project‑based industries is helpful but not requiredSkills & CapabilitiesAdvanced Excel proficiency, with the ability to build and maintain complex financial models independentlyStrong analytical instincts and the ability to translate data into a clear narrative about business performanceAttention to detail and high standards for accuracy in a reporting environment where precision mattersComfort working with large, imperfect datasets and the ability to build structured, reliable outputs from themFamiliarity with ERP systems or field service management platforms is a plusStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non‑finance audiencesPersonal AttributesA builder's mindset, motivated by the opportunity to create structure and process where there is currently whitespaceComfortable with ambiguity and able to prioritize effectively in a fast‑moving environmentLow ego, high output, willing to roll up their sleeves on execution while also contributing at a strategic levelWhy Join Us?Direct access and exposure to senior leadership, PE sponsors, and strategic decision‑making from day oneThe opportunity to build something, as a foundational hire in a finance function that is being constructed rather than inheritedCompetitive compensation commensurate with experience, plus benefitsNew Orleans‑based role with a stable, growing mechanical contracting companyInclusive EmployerOur number one focus will always be our people.
