As one of the largest employee-owned electrical contractors in the United States, we provide growth opportunities and shareholder benefits.Your next opportunityThe IT Support Specialist is responsible for IT support for the Regional Office including job sites in several locations.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the day-to-day desktop/laptop, cellular, telephone and local network support of assigned offices and jobsites.Provide end-user support and problem resolution for desktop computers, printers and other peripheral hardware and software applications.Utilize our trouble-ticketing system to document work and facilitate communication with clients.Work with all levels of end users including high-level users, difficult users, non-technical users, demanding users.Responsible for implementation, configuration, coordination, control, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, usage monitoring and the development of specialized systems and operational procedures.Provide project management for new jobsite setups, including assessing jobsite IT support requirements, circuit ordering and implementation, equipment ordering and delivery, and ongoing support throughout the life of the jobsite.The duties and responsibilities describe the general nature and scope of work; other duties may be assigned based on the position's role within the business unit.What you'll need to be successfulTeam player with effective communication and customer service skills; able to stay on task when working independentlyOrganize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentWorking knowledge of networking, Active Directory, Storage Area Network, virtual machines, and Disaster Recovery proceduresConversant in Microsoft operating systems and productivity toolsExperience with Cisco network equipment is a plusDemonstrated ability to work independently and take directionCustomer relations skills with strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication; detail orientedAbility to perform in a dynamic and fast-paced team environmentAbility to establish and maintain an effective follow-up system for timely handling of information requestsDiscretion and sensitivity when handling confidential informationSelf-starter, proactive, able to interface with end users and prioritize issuesExperience in a multi-org environmentEngineering and Construction industry knowledge desiredSystem administration and support experience desiredProficient in Microsoft Office; Oracle preferredAbility to manage multiple tasks with changing prioritiesWork under pressure with a positive attitudeStrong oral and written communication skillsSelf-motivated, proactive and an effective team playerInteract effectively with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, and othersWhat you bring to usAssociate degree in Information Technology, Computer/Information Science, or related disciplineMinimum 3 years of practical IT experienceCombination of education, training, and relevant experienceTravelUp to 20%Working conditionsGeneral work environment with extended sitting, standing, typing, and light lifting; primarily indoors with varying environmental conditionsNoise level typically low to medium; may be loud on a job siteOccasional lifting up to 30 lbsADA compliance and reasonable accommodation measures available for qualified applicantsEqual OpportunityRosendin Electric is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
