Description
Senior Application Developer
Location: Cleveland, OH - Only for Locals
Duration: 6 months Contract to Hire
The Senior Application Developer is responsible for the design, development, integration, implementation, and support of web-based application software in a full-stack environment. This team supports The Americas Group (TAG) division's Paint Stores Group National Accounts / Credit applications. The Systems are primarily focused on Java/Oracle. This highly technical and challenging position will work with the Java Development Sher-link Team on the National Accounts, Credit, and the Mobius Repository applications. Other areas of involvement may include providing web services to corporate and other departments including stores. Development responsibilities will encompass new logic/features, enhancements, and bug fixes/support.

Position Requirements
Formal Education & Certification: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in related field or equivalent experience.
Knowledge & Experience: 5+ years of IT experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience working on all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle. Experience working with customers to build and formulate business requirements. 5+ years Java, ORM/JPA/Hibernate, Web Services, Object-oriented design techniques, and common design patterns. 3+ years of experience in writing SQL queries and stored procedures to Oracle databases. Experience testing, debugging, and diagnosing software bugs and system issues. Experience in automated testing desired. Microservices experience.

Physical Activities/Capabilities/Work Environment
Sit for extended periods of time constantly; walk and stand occasionally. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer components constantly. Lift and transport moderately heavy objects, such as computers, devices, and peripherals occasionally. Work environment involves everyday risk or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, i.e., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire regulations. Work area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated. Minimal travel is required Work outside the standard office 7.5-hour workday may be required.
