Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Performance

Leads the strength and conditioning program for Livingstone College athletics and supports physical development, health, and performance of student athletes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Design and implement sport-specific strength and conditioning program
• Supervise sport performance coaches and graduate assistants
• Manage weight room scheduling and safety protocols
• Support nutrition education, recovery programs, and injury prevention strategies
• Oversee the sports performance budget and equipment resources
• Provide gameday and administrative support assigned
• Other duties as assigned

Education/ Experience:

Bachelor's degree (required) in: Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Human Performance, Physical Education or related field

Certifications & Licensure:

CSCS (Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist) OR CSCCa (SCCC certification) CPR/AED certification

Sports Performance Experience:

35+ years of collegiate experience or similar roles Experience designing programs for multiple sports Hands-on coaching in weight room, speed, agility, and conditioning Supervising staff, interns, or GA's Managing a performance program or weight room Working directly with sport coaches and sports medicine teams
