Boston Conveyor and Automation (BCA) is expanding rapidly, and we're looking for a skilled and motivated Press Brake Operator to join our team in our clean, modern Newburyport facility. If you're hands-on, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this is your opportunity to grow with an industry leader serving food manufacturing, life sciences, and advanced manufacturing sectors.
What You'll Do
As a Press Brake Operator at BCA, you'll play a vital role in fabricating high-quality components. Your day-to-day will include:
- Setting up and operating press brake machines and rolls to form metal parts accurately
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and work orders
- Selecting the right tooling, dies, and machine settings for each job
- Measuring and inspecting finished parts using calipers, tape measures, and precision tools
- Ensuring all work meets strict quality and dimensional standards
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised workspace
- Planning ahead and staying organised to meet production deadlines
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a reliable, proactive individual who takes pride in their work:
Required:
- 2+ years of press brake operating experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, email)
- High School diploma (or equivalent / on-the-job training)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay on your feet for extended periods
- Experience working with large parts and stainless steel
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- Positive, "can-do" attitude
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual
- Team player with the ability to work independently
