Powell is a manufacturer of switchgear and other electrical equipment. We are currently hiring a Welder at our Southeast Houston manufacturing facility. Schedule: Monday-Thursday 5:00am-3:30pm; OT as neededPurpose of PositionA Fitter /Welder, will work either individually or as part of a small team to produce sheet‑metal weldments. Weldments must meet the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineering drawings. The Fitter/Welder must determine from the drawing where each weld is to be performed and meet the size and length requirements within the specified tolerance.
