Position SummaryThe Warehouse Lead will support daily warehouse operations, including receiving, handling, organizing, storing, and distributing telecommunications cable. This role acts as a hands‑on leader and serves as the backup to the Warehouse Supervisor. The Warehouse Lead will help train warehouse staff, assist with scheduling, maintain inventory accuracy, and coordinate with vendor partners. This position is onsite at our Sutton, MA warehouse and reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesServe as backup to the site leader and act as a hands‑on coach to warehouse staffAssist in supervising and training warehouse personnelHelp oversee scheduling for all logistics processes from receiving through deliveryBuild and maintain strong relationships with vendor partners and customersAssist in tracking and documenting service provider performanceConfirm receipt of incoming cable shipments and organize materials within the warehouseHelp manage inventory accuracy and maintain all related documentationProvide updates to the Warehouse Supervisor regarding operational performance and issuesEnsure all service commitments (quantity, quality, timing) are consistently metReinforce strict security protocols to protect cable at all stages of custodyAssist in scheduling and consolidating outbound deliveries to minimize transportation costsPromote and maintain a safe work environment by reinforcing safety practicesEnsure proper safeguarding of equipment and materials to prevent injury or damageComply with all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and labor lawsAssist in developing and enforcing job protocolsSupport the management of operational KPIs and performance trackingAnalyze KPI data to identify efficiency opportunities and support continuous improvement initiativesPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in warehouse management, supply chain, logistics, transportation, or related fieldMinimum 1 year of supervisory or lead experienceStrong project management and multitasking abilitiesAnalytical mindset with strong attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and collaborate across teamsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)Desire to learn, grow, and develop toward future leadership rolesAbility to stand, walk, bend, lift, and pull up to 50 lbsAbility to complete a physical fitness testForklift operation experience and ability to pass an internal forklift driving testRequired PPE: slip‑resistant safety shoes, disposable coverall, mask, gloves, safety vest#J-18808-Ljbffr
