OverviewThe City of North Salt Lake is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Water System Operator 1 or 2 depending on qualifications. This position works in the Water Department and performs a variety of work related to the repair, installation and preventive maintenance of the City water system.ResponsibilitiesInstallation or repair of water service connections, water lines and metersRepairs or replaces fire hydrants and plugged water metersRepairs water mains, thaws frozen lines, cleans and maintains storage tanksConnects and disconnects service, searches out shut off valves, repairs water line leaksAssists in placement of pipe and water regulators; removes, disassembles, cleans or replaces defective parts of regulatorsAdjusts pilot valves as needed to assure efficient water line serviceOperating Hours7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.BenefitsThe City offers a generous benefits package that includes health insurance and participation in the Utah Retirement System.Application ProcessQualified applicants may apply for this position by submitting an application and resume online at www.nslcity.org or via email to suec@nslcity.org.
