Description
This is a professional position responsible for ensuring financial reporting and regulatory standards are followed for the utilization of funding from state and federal sources, including gifts and grants. This position has a key role in assisting with internal decisions and external audits based on the financial integrity of the financial statements.Essential Functions: Establish and maintain positive working relationships with HFC internal and external customersAssist the CFO with monthly financial reportsWork with the resource specialist to reconcile master trust accountsPrepare budget documents for annual submission to the Board of DirectorsAssist the finance and contracts team in reconciling the general ledger to data systemsCreate monthly and quarterly check requests for a variety of vendorsParticipate in the annual single audit with the designated audit firmRoutinely analyze general ledger accounts for compliance with allowable expensesReconcile bank statements timelyAttend executive management team meetings to provide updates as requiredAttend meetings to provide budget and finance updates as requestedMeet with contract to review quarterly reconciliation of contractsComplete required reporting to ensure the contract deliverables are being met with the Department of Children and FamiliesAssist with special projects as assignedQualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting field required.Experience in not-for-profit accounting preferred.
