To ensure high-quality product delivery from suppliers, the full-time remote Supplier Quality Engineer will evaluate supplier performance, conduct audits, and analyze defect data while collaborating with cross-functional teams in either Chicago, IL or Los Angeles, CA.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and assess supplier performance, implementing corrective and preventive action plans to resolve quality issuesConduct supplier audits and participate in Production Process Verifications (PPVs) and PPAP review processesAnalyze supplier defect data to identify trends and drive preventative measures while fostering a Zero Defect cultureRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree with 2-4+ years of relevant experience or 6-8+ years of experience in lieu of a degreeStrong analytical skills and experience with 8D/RCCA activitiesProficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including GD&TExperience in supplier development and a strategic mindset in quality management
