Job Description Job Summary: Outpatient Radiation Therapist provides radiation therapy services to patients, delivering treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and safety standards. This role requires ARRT-T and TRT certification to administer prescribed treatment while supporting patient comfort and treatment adherence. Responsibilities:
Deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments using approved protocols and treatment plan parameters.
Position and prepare patients for treatment, confirming correct setup and immobilization devices.
Coordinate with the clinical team to ensure accurate daily treatment delivery and documentation.
Apply radiation safety practices, including proper use of shielding and adherence to departmental procedures.
Monitor patients during treatment, reporting changes in condition or concerns to the supervising provider.
Qualifications:
Hold ARRT-T (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy) certification.
Hold TRT (Therapeutic Radiologic Technology) certification.
Maintain current CPR/BLS certification (or equivalent such as HS-BLS/RQI-BLS).
Possess a fluoroscopy permit from the state of practice (preferred where applicable).
Demonstrate strong knowledge of radiation therapy principles, patient positioning, and treatment documentation.
