Job Description POSITION SUMMARYResponsible for operating machining equipment and performing related manufacturing tasks. This role includes producing quality parts efficiently, maintaining equipment, completing required documentation, and supporting general production operations. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate machining equipment and related processes efficiently, producing quality parts while minimizing scrap and meeting established production rates.
Inspect manufactured parts using required measuring tools and gages, ensuring compliance with drawings, routing specifications, quality plans, and statistical process control (SPC) requirements.
Perform routine, scheduled maintenance on assigned equipment as required.
Complete and maintain accurate production documentation; identify and report discrepancies to supervision.
Review and interpret production documentation (such as setup instructions, quality plans, and routing sheets) to gather necessary tooling, fixtures, and equipment for efficient setups.
Perform machine setups within established time standards while minimizing scrap and equipment downtime.
Follow all standard shop practices, safety procedures, and company policies.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS Education & Training
High school diploma or GED required, or
Equivalent combination of education and at least 2 years of relevant manufacturing experience
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership
Experience
Minimum 2 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Requirements may be adjusted based on experience and organizational needs
TECHNICAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGECandidates should have exposure to or willingness to be trained in the following areas:
Manual machine setup and operation
General machining and manufacturing processes
Basic understanding of quality management systems
Blueprint reading and interpretation
Setup and operation of multiple types of machines
Production documentation and recordkeeping practices
Routine machine maintenance procedures
Inspection techniques and use of measuring instruments
Quality system procedures and manufacturing standards
Team-based problem-solving methods
Standard shop safety and operational practices
Basic understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
