Job Summary We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Carpenter's Helper to assist skilled carpenters with a variety of construction and carpentry tasks. This entry-level position is ideal for someone eager to learn trade, develop hands-on skills, and grow within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters with measuring, cutting, and assembling materials
- Load, unload, and transport tools, equipment, and materials to job sites
- Prepare and clean work areas before and after projects
- Hold materials in place and support installation tasks as directed
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision
- Follow instructions to help complete projects on time and to quality standards
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear proper protective equipment
- Basic knowledge of construction or carpentry (preferred but not required)
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and take on new tasks
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials (50+ lbs)
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work outdoors in various conditions
- Basic understanding of hand and power tools
- Previous construction or labor experience
- Familiarity with measuring tools (tape measure, level, etc.)
- OSHA safety training (a plus)
