Circa Resort & Casino JOB SUMMARY: The Lifeguard is responsible for providing professional and courteous service to each and every guest, while also maintaining the aquatic safety of all guests. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for practicing, supporting and promoting the Company Service Standards at all times
Responsible for the daily set up of the pool decks before the pools open to guests and completing a breakdown of the pools each day as they close
Follow all designated emergency procedures
Provide constant visual surveillance of pool and surrounding area identifying any potential safety or emergency situations
Assists guests with requests, offering appropriate alternatives and seeking assistance when necessary
Understands and is well-versed in the resort features and services including all outlets, hours of operation, activities and events available to guests
Attend required training
Assists other departments as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 16 years of age
Previous lifeguard experience preferred, but not required
Must be able to communicate in English with guests, management and other Team Members
Must be able to work efficiently within a team environment
Must be able to work effectively in stressful, high pressure situations
Must be able to initiate and maintain an upbeat and relaxed environment on a consistent basis
Possess basic knowledge of the Las Vegas area and attractions
Must be capable of administering CPR, First Aid or provide rescue in accordance with Red Cross training
Must be willing to participate in promotional campaigns and promote upcoming events via social platforms
Knows and adheres to departmental policies and procedures, embraces company culture and takes pride in the resort and amenities
Must be available to work all shifts and days, including opening and closing shifts
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Must have, or be able to obtain, all required Nevada work cards (Health)
Must have, or ability to obtain, an American Red Cross certification in CPR for the professional Rescuer
Must have, or ability to obtain, a valid, accredited Lifeguard Training & First Aid certification
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols
Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment
Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping. These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned area as well as constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests
Moderate to loud noise levels
Extreme weather conditions both hot and cold, indoors and outdoors
May be exposed to secondhand smoke
