Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - In-House
If you've worked as an SLP in skilled nursing and felt like the documentation, the productivity standards, and the pressure to see one more patient were pulling you away from the reason you became a speech pathologist - this role is intentionally different.
We are an in-house, family-owned therapy organization - not a contract therapy company. Our SLPs are given the clinical space to do what they were trained to do - evaluate, treat, and genuinely change the lives of the residents in their care.
Why Therapists Choose Sprenger Therapy
  • In-house therapy model - your clinical decisions serve your residents, not a contract company's bottom line
  • Your clinical scope is respected - dysphagia, cognitive, and communication, the work you trained for
  • Autonomy is valued - your judgment guides the care plan
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration - you work alongside PT, OT, and nursing as an equal voice in the care team
  • Stable, family-oriented culture - leadership is present, accessible, and invested in your success
  • Care decisions guided by outcomes and patient needs - not short-term volume
Our therapy teams operate differently - and it shows in our retention and culture.
What You'll Do
  • Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
  • Conduct dysphagia evaluations and make evidence-based diet and intervention recommendations
  • Provide cognitive-linguistic therapy to support functional independence and quality of life
  • Collaborate with PT, OT, nursing, and dietary to ensure coordinated, whole-person care
  • Document clearly and efficiently in support of quality outcomes
What We're Looking For
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
  • Current SLP license or license-eligible
  • Experience with dysphagia evaluation and treatment preferred
  • Commitment to patient-first, outcomes-driven care
  • Clinical Fellowship candidates encouraged to apply - mentorship and supervision provided
Pay & Benefits
  • Competitive compensation based on experience
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Generous 401(k) with company match
  • Continuing education units (CEUs) - available
  • Paid time off and vacation pay
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Company-paid life insurance
  • Tuition reimbursement
  • Growth opportunities within a 12-facility network
From Our Therapy Team
"I feel supported, trusted, and confident that the work I do here actually matters. That's not something I take for granted."
About Sprenger Therapy
Sprenger Therapy is the in-house rehabilitation team for Sprenger Health Care Systems - a third-generation, family-owned senior living organization operating 12 skilled nursing facilities across Ohio and South Carolina. This isn't contract therapy. This is a career.
