First Atlantic Healthcare is seeking an Associate Food Service Director to join the team providing quality care in the local Maine communities.
Reports To: FoodService Director
Purpose ofPosition
The Associate Food Service Director will provide assistancein overseeing the Dining Department on campus to include administrative dutiessuch as inventory of food supplies and ordering. The main focus of thisposition will be to manage the food service operations in front and back ofhouse for The Inn. The Associate FoodService Director shall manage the dietary operations for the campus in theabsence of the Food Service Director. Essential JobFunctions & Responsibilities

• Oversees the management of all areas of The Innkitchen to include but is not limited to management of employees, day to dayoperations of meal service, and cooking
• Ensures that all meals are prepared according tothe approved menus
• Assists in the purchasing/ordering and maintain inventoryaccording to the menu cycles
• Monitors food storage and proper rotation offood
• Assists in the management of employees in thedining department to include hiring, training and performance management
• Management and oversight of event catering andmeals for Cottage residents
• Ensures that new staff are properly orientatedand trained
• Evaluates and maintains all equipment in thedietary department to include calling for repairs when needed

• Must be able to stand, sit and squat throughoutthe work day
• Must be able to lift 35 pounds
• Must be able to fulfill any position in thekitchen if shifts are open

• The Associate Food Service Director must beeither Serv-Safe Certified or enrolled in the course for certification
• Minimum 2 years' experience managing a kitchenand at least 5 years' experience of hands on culinary experience to fulfill theessential requirements of skill and function below
