The Job

The Department of Public Health (DPH), Clinic Operations is recruiting for Radiologic Technologists who perform radiographic procedures employing the use of x-rays to produce images of various parts of the body for the diagnosis of pathological and traumatic disorders. RadiologicTechnologists position and prepare patients for imaging procedures, perform radiographic examinations, and apply appropriate radiation exposure while upholding all safety standards. They adjust technical controls to obtain diagnostic images, including specialized views when standard imaging is not possible. Their responsibilities also include maintaining equipment cleanliness, scheduling required servicing, troubleshooting issues, and reporting any equipment malfunctions. Minimum Requirements

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS, REGISTRATIONS & LICENSESState of California, Department of Public Health as a Radiologic Technologist CertificationHealthcare Provider Level Basic Life Support certification issued by the American Health AssociationRegistration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCETwo (2) years of experience in a medical institution as a registered x-ray technologist

Selection Process

Examination Procedure: There will be a competitive evaluation of qualifications based on a review of the Application and Supplemental Questionnaire.
