Job Description Job Summary: An experienced Respiratory Therapist is needed to provide specialized respiratory care to adult patients in a critical care and emergency department setting. This role requires managing complex respiratory conditions and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care. Responsibilities:
Evaluate and monitor patients' respiratory status using advanced diagnostic tools and assessments.
Administer respiratory treatments, medications, and oxygen therapy as prescribed.
Operate and troubleshoot ventilators, Oxygen delivery systems, Pyxis, and Omnicell medication systems.
Document patient care and interventions accurately within the EMR system, including EPIC.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and modify patient care plans based on clinical assessments.
Ensure compliance with all certification, licensing, and hospital protocols, including ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP requirements.
Qualifications:
Hold a valid TN CRT license and meet the state-specific licensing requirements.
Possess at least 2 years of recent experience in adult critical care and emergency department settings.
Have a minimum of 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience.
Certification in ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP is required.
Demonstrate proficiency in operating ventilators, oxygen systems, and medication automation systems such as Pyxis and Omnicell.
Be willing to work 3x12 day shifts (0700-1930) including weekend coverage, with floating to other units as needed.
