Job Title: TIG Welder - Stainless Steel (Semiconductor Industry) Job Description This role focuses on precision TIG welding of stainless steel components used in semiconductor and high-purity applications. You will fabricate and weld valves, fittings, equipment hook-ups, manifolds, regulators, and tube press fitting systems, working from weld schematics and blueprints to produce high-quality, leak-free assemblies for demanding water, gas, chemical, and ultra-high-purity systems. Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality TIG welding on stainless steel components used in valves, regulators, manifolds, equipment hook-ups, and tube press fitting systems.
  • Read, interpret, and adhere to weld schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to complete welds accurately and according to specifications.
  • Identify and correctly apply weld symbols to ensure proper joint preparation and weld execution.
  • Apply basic math skills to measure, layout, and verify dimensions for fabrication and welding tasks.
  • Use fundamental welding principles to set up equipment, select appropriate parameters, and ensure consistent weld quality.
  • Fabricate and assemble stainless steel and sheet metal parts for manufacturing in a clean production environment.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspection of welds and assemblies to verify quality and adherence to standards.
  • Work safely within a manufacturing environment, following established procedures and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and support continuous improvement in welding and fabrication processes.
Essential Skills
  • Proven experience with TIG welding on stainless steel components.
  • Ability to read and interpret weld schematics and blueprints.
  • Ability to identify and correctly interpret weld symbols.
  • Basic math skills for measurement, layout, and verification tasks.
  • Knowledge and application of basic welding principles in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on manufacturing experience in welding, fabrication, and inspection.
  • Experience working with stainless steel, sheet metal, and related fabrication processes.
  • Experience with purge welding for high-purity or critical applications.
  • Experience with stainless pipe welding in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in manufacturing environments serving semiconductor, clean energy, life sciences, or advanced manufacturing industries is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with inspection practices for weld quality and dimensional accuracy.
  • Comfort working with valves, regulators, manifolds, and tube press fitting systems used in water, gas, chemical, and ultra-high-purity applications.
  • Ability to adapt to different shifts and schedules as production needs require.

Initial training is provided on a daytime schedule, Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. After training, the position transitions to a swing shift, Monday through Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., with a 10% shift differential. The environment emphasizes cleanliness, safety, and adherence to manufacturing standards to support high-performance products for critical applications. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of PORTLAND, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $33.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
