Abbott Rapid Diagnostics is part of Abbott's Diagnostics family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry leading technologies to support diagnostic testing which provides important information for the treatment and management of diseases and other conditions. This position is in the Toxicology Business Unit, servicing agencies in the government criminal justice and treatment market. Sales professional driving new growth in the government market as defined by Abbott sales management. This job description will be reviewed periodically and is subject to change by management. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - (KEY ACTIVITIES) • Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling and lead generation • Set up meetings with prospects to introduce our products and services • Perform prospect and customer needs assessments • Prepare and send quotes and proposals • Coordinate and secure contracts and agreements between new clients and contracts team • Support new account implementation activities within sales and operations • Stay current with trends and competitors to identify improvements or recommend new products and services • Attend trade shows and in-person customer visits REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
