Requirements
- PharmD
- Active and good standing Pharmacist license in Massachusetts
- Two to three years of experience working as a pharmacist preferred
- Extensive knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in all areas of pharmacy operations, including: IV admixtures, drug information services, ambulatory pharmacy, pharmaceutical manufacturing, drug distribution systems
- Direct and coordinate the delivery of pharmacy services
- Supervise and verify the accuracy of all work performed by pharmacy support personnel during assigned shifts
- Operate within established pharmacy policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with target drug programs, formulary management initiatives, medication management programs, and adverse drug event monitoring systems
- Identify, resolve, and prevent drug-related problems to optimize patient outcomes
- Document and report clinical interventions, medication errors, and adverse drug events
- Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement activities
- Comply with all policies, procedures, laws, and regulations established by the Board of Pharmacy and other applicable regulatory agencies
